특히 신장 초음파에서 renal artery stenosis 평가 등에 유용

※ Renal artery stenosis 의심 소견
– PSV > 180 ~ 200 cm/s
– RI > 0.7
– RAR (Renal a. PSV / Aortic PSV) > 3.5

RI 가 0.6 미만으로 낮은 경우

  • Renal artery stenosis (70% 이상 stenosis)
  • Valvular aortic stenosis
  • Thoracic or Suprarenal aortic stenosis

RI 가 0.7 이상으로 높은 경우

  • Renal vasoconstriction
  • Renal arteriolosclerosis
  • Renal interstitial pressure
  • Renal venous pressure
  • Sympathetic activation
  • Bradycardia
  • Increased systemic pulse pressure
